Deadlines, ARGGH!!
1. The word deadline was originally used as a line that did not move. Later on it was used in the civil war meaning a line that did not move.
2. Missing today's deadline would result in a poor grade or a grade that is missing.
3. For the most part deadlines have not been an issue for me because I usually turn things in on time.
4. No, I do not usually miss deadlines on a regular basis. For people who miss deadlines often, I think it's because they either have too much work piling up, or they procrastinate.
5. What kept me from meeting today's deadline was finishing up my "5 Websites" assignment from last class.
6. I plan to finish it over the weekend, and if I don't finish it in time I will let my teacher know once I have finished it so she can change my grade.
1. I think that making a to-do list with the most important tasks at the top might be help me be more efficient, because then I can know what tasks I have yet to do and how important they are.
2. I think that not saying no to my friends, and finding productive time would be the toughest for me to complete because I always enjoy hanging out with my friends, and then I never find time to set aside for homework with all of the activities that I have going on.
3. I think some problems I might run into with my productive time at certain times of the day is if I have activities or events scheduled during those times.
4. I can figure out what times work best for me and make sure not to schedule anything during that time of the day.
5. Three direct things I could do to eliminate distractions are, find a quiet workspace where nobody else is in, put my phone away, and set a goal for a certain amount of homework that could be done in a certain amount of time.
1. Yes, because if you manage your time well in order to get your homework done and not have it interfere with other activities, it can make things a lot more simple.
2. My ideal study setting and mood is in a quiet room with nobody else in it, listening to soft music so I don't get too distracted by something like dancing or singing along, and setting a goal for myself to be done with a certain amount of homework.
3. My biggest distractions when it comes to studying is my family because when always know how to make each other laugh, and we get in to really interesting, deep conversations sometimes which can become distracting.
