Tales by Light

Season 2 Episode 3
"Misunderstood Predators- Part 1"
1. The photographer of the episode "Misunderstood Predators" is Eric Cheng. He is an under water photographer that takes pictures of aquatic predators in their environments. He photographs creatures who are "misunderstood" because people can view them as dangerous predators but what Cheng does is prove that they are actually quite friendly and calm in their environment when they don't feel threatened.

2.  One thing that I found most interesting about this episode was how he didn't at all seem frightened, but only fascinated. I know that his purpose of taking these photos was to prove that the predators were not harmful, just misunderstood, but I would still be a little scared taking pictures of an anaconda.

3. One thing I learned from this episode is that it takes a lot of patience to photograph what you want to capture pictures of. This is because he had to be very patient while waiting a while to take his photos and was patient in waiting to get a good angle or a clear view. When you are taking pictures of animals, you don't get to position them so you have to wait until they get into a position that works for you.

4.  This episode takes place in a river in Brazil. I do not like the location of this photo shoot because I would not be willing to go swimming with an anaconda. However, I do like the pictures that were taken, I just would not like to be the one to take them in that setting.

5. This work is important because Eric Cheng is not only taking photos of these predators because its something he enjoys doing, but also because he believes he should uncover some truth about these creatures. It's important because he is trying to show people how misunderstood these predators are because of what people think they know about them, without actually knowing the truth.

Season 2 Episode 4
"Misunderstood Predators- Part 2"
1. The photographer of this episode is the same photographer from the previous episode we watched, Eric Chang. Just like in the previous episode, Chang is trying to photograph misunderstood creatures.

2. I liked this episode because I thought that it was cool that the photographer was capturing his images in the Bahamas. I liked this because the Bahamas is such a beautiful place, that I've wanted to go to, unlike the location from the past episode.

3. In this episode, I learned that once again not all predators are dangerous. This is because every is always taught at young ages that sharks are very dangerous but the photographer goes underwater to photograph sharks and prove how they're not always harmful.

4. The location of this episode is in the Bahamas. Although I've always wanted to go to the Bahamas, I still wouldn't like the location of this episode because I wouldn't enjoy swimming with sharks, even if I knew that they wouldn't harm me.

5. This work is important because once again Eric Chang proves how predators don't have to be dangerous just because we view them that way. He shows us how most of them are very peaceful in their natural environment and that they are just misunderstood.
