Welcome Back!

I like this photo because the photographer did a very good job at capturing people's expressions at this moment, and also their body language to make it easy to understand what is happening in the picture with almost no explanation needed. I also like it because some of the peoples faces are funny to look at.

I chose this photo because I like how intense the photo is and what is captured in this image. I also like the colors captured in the picture as the burst of lava appears from a volcano.

I picked this photo as one of my top three photos because there is good emotions captured in this image from both teams. I also like how this image tells a story and makes you feel a little bit bad for the Indians player, even if you are a cubs fan.

1.  I chose this picture to represent the best song of 2016 because I like the song 'Treat You Better', which is the name of the album on the picture below. Shawn Mendes is the singer of this song which is why he is on the photo I chose to represent the prompt. I also liked other songs that came out in 2016 such as: 'One Dance',  'Side to Side',  '24K Magic' and many others.





2. I chose this image(a scene from La La Land) to represent my favorite movie of 2016 because I think that the movie La La Land was by far the best movie of 2016. Although I liked other movies such as Moana, and Batman vs Superman, I thought this movie was the best. I was advised by my friends to see this movie and I'm glad I did, because it was a great movie of 2016.

3. I think that the most important news story of the year was the shooting in Orlando. I chose the shooting because it had such a big affect on many people and it was a very tragic time of 2016. The shooting happened on June 12, 2016 when a man entered a nightclub and started to shoot. There were 49 people killed and 53 injured. These people who had to deal with great losses came together in a time of grief to honor those who had died. This sad event and how people who had lost loved ones pulled through it, is why I think this was the most important news story of 2016.




4. I chose this image of Donald Trump to represent who I thought was the most important person of 2016, because he was elected the president of the United States of America the November of 2016 . Although Trump wasn't my choice for president, that doesn't change the fact that he is still very important. Whether some people like it or not, he will soon officially be the president of the United States of America. This job is one of the most important roles in this country, making him (in my opinion) the most important person of 2016.




5. I think that the biggest sports person of 2016 was Simone Biles, a USA gymnast in the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. Biles is know for two things: her amazing talent and skill level, and her height. Biles is  only 4′ 9″, but her small height doesn't stop her. After she competed in the Rio Olympics, she had won a total of 5 medals (4 gold and 1 bronze.) She is the fourth American female gymnast to win five medals in a single Olympics. With all of her success she was one of the most commonly talked about American athlete to compete in the Rio Olympics, which I think easily makes her the biggest sports person of 2016.




My Holiday

1. During winter break I had a great time when I went to go visit my family in Chicago and celebrate Christmas morning with them.

2. My resolutions for the 2017 are to manage my time better so that I don't procrastinate with homework and still have time to have fun on the weekends.

3. In the new year of 2017 I am looking forward to making new friends and also I am looking forward to my birthday.
