Nut Graf

The nut graf is the most important part/ paragraph of a story. A nut paragraph is a paragraph that follows the opening paragraph (second paragraph). Nut grafs explains all the value and purpose that there is to a story. It can also provide information as to why it's beneficial for the reader to read the story.

Nut grafs can create a hook for the reader which increase the reader's interest in the story and allows them to want to keep reading. The nut graph is organized to inform readers what was, what's new, and what's now. A good nut graf is used to guide the reader through the story. It is important that the nut graph doesn't give away the ending to a story because if that happens the reader might lose their desire to read the rest of the story.
